While you browse

Your basket and any checkout details you've typed are saved in your own browser so they're still there if you come back. They aren't sent to us until you place an order. We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking tools. See our cookies page for details.

Why we use it

  • To fulfil your order: to reserve your frags, arrange payment, pack, ship or hand over your order, and contact you about it. We need this to carry out our contract with you.
  • To answer enquiries: including wanted-list requests and collection bookings. This is in our legitimate interest in running the shop and helping customers.
  • To run competitions: to record your entry and payment, run the draw and contact the winner. We need this to carry out the competition you entered.
  • To tell you when a coral is available: only for corals you've registered interest in. You can ask us to remove you at any time.
  • To send restock emails: only if you've asked for them. You can stop them at any time by replying to one or emailing us.
  • To keep business records: we must keep sales records to meet our legal and tax obligations.

We don't sell your information or use it for automated decision-making.

Who we share it with

  • Couriers, who need your name, address and phone number to deliver your order or competition prize.
  • SumUp, our card payment provider, when you pay by card. You enter your card details on SumUp's own page, so we never see or store them.
  • Our bank, which shows us your name and payment reference when you pay by bank transfer.
  • Our website host, which stores the site's data on our behalf.
  • Google Fonts, which serves the fonts on this site. Your browser connects to Google to load them, which shares your IP address with Google.

We may also share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Orders: 6 years from the end of the financial year they were placed in, as required for tax records.
  • Enquiries: up to 2 years, unless they relate to an order.
  • Restock sign-ups: until you ask us to stop.
  • Competition entries: 6 years, as they're financial records.
  • Interest in a coral: until 12 months after we've told you it's available, or until you ask us to remove you.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • correct anything that's wrong;
  • delete your information, where we don't need to keep it by law;
  • restrict or object to how we use it;
  • send it to you or another organisation in a portable format.

Email [email protected] and we'll reply within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Keeping it safe

The site is served over a secure connection, and only the shop owner can sign in to see orders and enquiries.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
