Questions, answered

The things people ask us most. If yours isn't here, send it over.

Ordering

What does WYSIWYG mean?

"What you see is what you get." The photo is of the exact frag you'll receive. Grow-out frags are cut to order from the same colony, so they match closely but aren't the pictured piece.

Can you hold a frag for me?

Yes, for collection we can hold a frag for up to 7 days. Ask through the contact form with the frag name.

Do you keep a wanted list?

We do. Tell us what you're after and we'll email when a frag is ready to cut. Rare colonies like chalices and named torches usually have a queue.

How do I pay?

By direct bank transfer (BACS) on the same day you order, quoting your order reference, or in cash when you collect. Competition tickets are paid by card.

Delivery and collection

Do you deliver?

Yes, by next-day tracked shipping anywhere in the UK, including Northern Ireland, the Highlands and the islands. Or collect free in Edinburgh. Competition prizes are shipped free.

When do you ship?

Monday to Wednesday, so nothing sits in a depot over a weekend. Your order arrives the day after dispatch, and you'll get tracking.

What if no one is in?

The courier will try to call the mobile number you give at checkout. Coral can't be left with a neighbour, so please choose a day someone is home.

When can I collect?

Fridays and Saturdays by appointment. Choose a day at checkout and we'll email the address and a time slot.

What should I bring?

An insulated bag or cool box. Keep the bags upright and head straight home.

What if I can't make my slot?

Let us know and we'll rearrange. We'll hold your frags until you can collect.

Community

What's in the WhatsApp community?

Restock alerts before they go on the site, collection-day updates, and a group where keepers share tank photos and ask us care questions.

Is it free to join?

Yes. You can leave at any time from inside WhatsApp.

Coral care

Is this coral suitable for a new tank?

Look for frags marked Easy, or filter the board to beginner friendly. We'd suggest a tank that's been running for at least three months before adding any coral.

Do I need to dip when I get it home?

We dip before bagging, but a second dip at home is cheap insurance. The care guide has the full routine.

My frag has closed up. Is it dying?

Almost certainly not. Most coral closes for a day or two after a move. Keep it low and out of strong flow, and give it 72 hours.
